Your last line reminds me of an Alfred Hitchcock offering - not as good (sorry 'bout that) but makes me think he/she is mentally arguing the dastardly deed they believe they have committed.

Actually, I could write a story about your response to this prompt. Like it much.

LOL! Which is worse? Seeing a ghost bent on payback or being arrested for what he did? Either way, he's going to do some suffering. The police won't offer as much as her ghost might have, tho. Darn it. :)

Clever and eerie at the same time.

This very well written short story transmits a full story that whets the appetite and yet does so in an economy of words. Great.

This is very suspenseful and has a nice twist at the end. Very good entry for the prisoner prompt and I wish you well.

There's an amusing situation the killer is ratted out to the cops by his own victum. An inventive piece that makes for an excellent entry for this contest. Good luck.

I'd like to be there for that interrogation! How would the narrator explain it to the police? Hallucinogen? Confrontation with Scarecrow after he broke out of Arkham Asylum? Hmmm...

Good job on this story in so few words. Good luck in the contest.

This is interesting, and in just one hundred words, it must be frightning for killers to be tormented by their victims. good luck.

Nice one. The conversation is a great way to use the hundred words to best effect. You describe a switch of role between prisoner and victim, a moment of uncertainty, and a funny reveal completes it. Great setup with the text and images.

Thanks, Mark, and while it's a fun format to write in, it certainly does challenge you as a writer, I'll tell you that.

I appreciate the encouraging review, my friend.

A haunting tale about the return of a ghost, yet was it the ghost?, I love the ending where the prisoner has confessed in front of the detective,
