A Many Rainbowed World

This was a great response to the prompt. I often wonder about the miracle of a rainbow. It's the most beautiful thing in the world, and to see a double rainbow is being double blessed!
Excellent creative imagery and visuals. No picture of a rainbow though? (smile). Well, wishful thinking, ah...
Hues also differ
In diverse human skin.
Not just black and white
But red, yellow, and olive
Tints created by different
Densities of sun absorption.
Well done.

Hi Dragon Poet,
This a unifying poem of inclusion for all walks of life. A most urgent need of not just tolerance but love for all races that God made. It is only by fear that we discriminate and diss other creeds and cultures unlike our own. Such a sad state of affairs of men that they cannot embrace each other with fresh eyes.
Your poem is beautiful and a testament to your faith and love for your fellow man. Using the lovely rainbow to show the many ways light is refracted in beauty to compare to the many shades God made his fellowman.
Three small typos you may want to edit.... In the second stanza
"WE (e)have shades of green
Seen in leaves on trees
And browns seen on bark
And animal hides
And to(o) mare (many) to mention
In buds and blooms.
In the last stanza are a few...
" We need to harness the hope
Of the first rainbow to
Recreate ruined nature and
Renew petrified (?) trust among us
To unify all rainbows to
Build and (an) everlasting peaceful world."
Great poem with an important message, DragonPoet :))

Wow! I loved your powerful message at the end!
"We need to harness the hope
Of the first rainbow to
Recreate ruined nature and
Renew petrified trust among us"
That hope that Noah saw in the first rainbow is something we should unify to harness!
And to mare to mention (too many?)

I don't think I have ever seen a double rainbow before, but I take your word for it that they exist. You certainly brought them to life here by dwelling on the colour and the meaning of them, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Yes true. There are many colours in tthe world. The best for me is in the rainbow because there is a meaning. Behind the rainbow. God made a promise He will never destory the world again with a flood and He kept His promise. Praise God and thank you for sharing

Good job for the many comparisons that you have made to the rainbow. You need to correct a couple of typos. Interesting use of the term "petrified trust".

Dragonpoet, Truly a really interesting and most inventive and creative concept of the rainbow which is really descriptive and expressive all throughout your poem. Your intellectual imagery to express the rainbows and all of us including the flowers in the trees is a new perspective on what rainbows really look like in us and around us. Your free verse poem was written fairly well and I can't get more is a prose/poem
And a free verse one at that. Thank you for sharing and posting this for everyone and may you have a good one wherever you go.

This was a very emotional poem for me to read. It relates thoughts that I believe so very well. People are all part of a human rainbow. We must see the beauty in all races and colors. Your poem brought tears to my eyes for the beauty of the over all message here. This is an outstanding piece of poetic art to have read and written this response for... John
