This could have referred to Part I, 8: The windmill episode. Sancho and the fallen Don Quixote by Gustave Dore, smiles.
Both were lost and yet the proud knight refused to accept the fact. Sancho is the not the typical handsome squire. "Panza" signifies "belly" while Sancho carried with it an illustrious pedigree, being the name of several kings of medieval Spain!

So the story carried with it a hilarious theme, smiles.
The pic of them is really beautifully captured in the middle of an elliptical roundabout and maybe there are horsing about round and round too! :)).
Great story in a hoot and entertaining to read too.
Cheerio, Rithcie. :))

Yes, they do look really out of place in the middle of 'nowhere' = 'now here", from past to the present, smiles.

I will agree. That is a strange place to see Don Quixote and his side kick. During a Spanish class many moons ago I had to translate part of that book from old Spanish to English. Not fun!!!!!! I enjoyed reading your poem. It had a cute sense of humor to it.

This is a wonderful piece of poetic art. Knowing the story makes this even more priceless as it speaks to the personality of both characters very well. Nicely done and I thank you so much for sharing this with me.

Creative, indeed. You captured this with a bit of humor as they're in the wrong century. Technology as the automobile, and other 'exotic' mysterious to Sancho is quite entertaining. Well done! Les

I enjoyed this beautifully written poem about a famous character called
"Don Quixote" who fought against windmills the Prince of hopeless causes! I loved this articulately written poem, descriptively expressive, good aabbcc rhyme scheme. Even meter! Blessings, Roy.

Excellent.
Where are the rainbows, they ask, where is Evil.
We must always seek and find.

A smooth poem with complete meaning full sentences. Not those sophomore attempts by some would be poetry writers to use and old English format, with half-words, combined with the new text message jargon, that is crapooola.

This is a very creative piece. You captured in your poem that moment in time where they are fixed but not trapped as they marvel at the modern technology of automobiles and other 'exotic' things which are quite 'quixotic.' Well done, Tom.

Who would think of a conversation between two statues, and how well you have pulled it off. I smiled throughout.
