Wow--you've been prolific lately, between the novel and poetry! I always admire your use of Sioux terms, which adds more realism and intensity. I like the concept of the "devil dog" and Ty's unwavering focus. Cool artwork too! More cheers- Joan

Thanks so much, Joan. As I wind down the novel, I'm posting closer together. I like Ty very much. He's one of the minor characters that has captured my heart. And I agree on the artwork. Always so appreciate that we have the other site to use.

Thanks so much for the great review, Joan. Have a great week!

Thank you for allowing me to look over your shoulder as a writer--it's intriguing to learn how characters take on their own life even for their creators. Best wishes on finding more terrific artworks on our sister site as you draw the mystery to a close. I look forward to the final chapters, but I will miss the engaging saga after it concludes. Happy writing... -Joan

Good continuation of your story line. The mood of uneasiness and fear is spread throughout as descriptions of the devil dog keep coming in. Makes me not want to go outside tonight. lol

Dear Bev - squeezing this one is as the light turns to twilight. yikes close call, and now I'll be thinking of devil dogs - great building up in this one. I'm going to have to count fire fighters again. Your imagery is just to good as is the spooky factor. Ok all done - deep breathing now.
Thanks for scaring me out of my wits. - extra chocolate for me.

I think you might be leaving us hanging here, Bev, and that's the sign of a good mystery writer, at least in my opinion. I want to read more! I like that so many of your chapters let us use our imagination as to what will happen next. As always, excellent use of dialogue and suspense.
Hugs,
Connie

Great chapter...I'm jumping in here toward the end, but your writing is so clear and well constructed that the story was easy to follow.
I couldn't find any SPAG issues
You have employed lots of good illustrative writing and the dialogue is good as well
-Great imagery here : He dragged the tip of his knife through one of them and brought it to his nose. It smelled of blood,

Strange things happens on the reservations. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read. There is very good imagery.

I never cease to be amazed at the unfolding of this story, Bev. It gets more suspenseful with each chapter and now it's getting downright spooky. I like the touch about having the one person who attests to having seen the devil dog be a drunk, probably of the DT stage. That has to be a consideration not just for the other characters, but also the reader.

Great job. Well edited, too. No spag or awkwardness as far as I could see.

Wow, another riveting chapter, full of emotion, plot action and suspense. I'm feelin' the goose bumps/chills, and I can't WAIT to see what's coming next. There's not a thing to change that I can spot (punctuation is not my strong suit, so if there are any little edits, I guess someone else will have to help, but I didn't notice anything at all.)

Best-seller list - I've said it before, and I MEAN it! I LOVE this book!
