Superb tension, Bev. You're setting everything up brilliantly You write like a seasoned pro - smooth narrative, authentic dialogue. Not a bump to be seen anywhere. You put me right there with Ty. I'm a bit leery about going with him to that cabin, though!
I especially love how you include snippets of the native language. It adds to the mystical aspects of the book.

This is filled with 6-star excitement! Ty certainly has his hands full with Tony being kidnapped and he hasn't been able to be in touch with Jana. Reports of the goats disappearing. Ty is taking very seriously the reports about the devil dog with the painted face--and he hears that one has been spotted. Strange happenings, and this unfriendly force is very powerful. You convey the sense of urgency with so much happening. Father Brian is supposed to be exchanged for Tony, but will that satisfy the fiend? judi

You've built the story up to quite a crescendo, turning this into a real page-turner. I believe you're a natural thriller writer.

Super chapter, Bev. I found it to be really tight writing. At this point in the tale, and if this story were complete and in book form, I would not set it down until the end. You've built the story up to quite a crescendo, turning this into a real page-turner. I believe you're a natural thriller writer.
