This is a subtly effective vision of the autumn's beauty. There's an implied warmth and joy (reverie)in the dancing leaves, but this is balanced beautifully in the sadness (sighs) as the leaves remember life as promised in the spring and enjoyed throughout the months of summer. Excelent entry in the competition. Good Luck!

Mikey, this Ode To Autumn writing prompt entry is stunning in its simplicity and descriptive words. That colors can drip is a great description. :0 GracieAnn

This haiku is beautifully presented with very striking artwork. I like the idea of a breath wafting the autumn leaves to the ground. My best wishes for the competition.

What a lovely ode to autumn, Mystery Poet. "Leaves float on sighs" was my favorite line. Such a wonderful, vivid image.

Very well done, and I wish you the best of luck in the contest!

This is a lovely Haiku -
I especially like the second line for its
imagery "colors drip - leaves float on sighs"
good choice of verbs.
when death is close we look back on life.
Good luck in the contest.

I like your picture, presentation, and theme. We are praying Spring will grace us soon. Winter keeps hounding us here. Ugh! I guess I can relate in reverse of your haiku. Good imagery, I can feel the crispness of fallen leaves :) good luck to you in this contest.

I think a good poem says more than the mere words imply. I'm in the Autumn of my life, remembering spring. That is what your poem says to me. I like these short poetry forms; so much said in few words. Your words: "reverie", "sighs" and "remembering" are all good choices.
