Hahaha. It is incredible that he thinks she has aged and he has not. Oops, big mistake to leave the one who cares about him. Now what if in the meantime she found she liked life without him?

Sounds like my Dad. I know Mum was not perfect but he realised she was the best one for him 20 something years after he left us. Good work. Thought it was gonna be about your second wife ha! The one who wanted to run your band?? Lesbo? Love the artwork mate. Don't forget new Chapter 17 in my autobiography and reorganized Chapter 18 if you have not been there yet. One more chapter to add then finished I think.

What a gorgeous, tragic, laughable story of a mid-life crisis!!! Lol! So many delusions, so little time! This is a serious, typical, emotionally-charged, pervasive example of wide-spread dysfunction in society... and you tell it like it is, WHILE making it funny! The tensions between the tone and the message in this poem are wonderful! Great job, Mikey C! I hope you don't write from personal experience! Love, Stephie

Your are so right, What are they thinking? Then again, the ones with money get away with it because (sadly to say) there are those young gold diggers who hone in on old wealthy men, like making an investment.
Put up with the toothless, impotent old dude for a few years, until the old fossil trips into his grave and she can collect all that wealth that should go to his children.
Life has greedy people. This satire, allows the reader to see the sad truth and chuckle.

Very good Mikey! I have seen that happen many times. There's something that men see in the mirror that women do not see. I mean they don't seem to see their pot bellies or their wrinkles. Is it magic? Women on the other hand are seldom happy with their looks. I had a son in law that would look in the mirror and say " You good looking sucker, don't you ever die!" He was handsome but really? What is that? LOL Nancy

Gave me a very good laugh, Mikey. Was it the Battle of Clontarf you were headed for? (I've just discovered that on the 1,000th anniversary of said battle, I will be 72 Years old!)
I love the drawing, and I like the quirky way of writing, but I'd love to know did she feed his hunger or did she brain him with the nearest skillet??the King Hungers, indeed!
