I've lost things to cyber space myself, several times before I conceded that I needed to start backing up important stuff. Glad you had a copy of your story+ on here. Nice to see the story unfolding more and more, and more info about what happened forthcoming.

Thank God I am posting crazy! Hahaha. In the old days I would have lost 50,000 words. I never think of back up and all of that until I lose something. Well, I'll just keep posting. Fortunately, I'm never more that half a page ahead! Glad your liking it. I was almost lost for a little while. More on track now. mikey

Good work mate. Here I am just taking a quick peep. I am back on the writing. A new chapter went up yesterday and doing some editing including getting all the chapters in correct sequence now. Have a look you will recognize some things and notice the changes and improvements hopefully.

Mikey, I see you took the solar panel suggestion and ran with it. The satellite thing is good as long as it it a US one. Each satellite has a transponder signal with a number and there could be a handbook in the cache that reveals its ID number.
My husband was telling me that right now scientists are reading people's mind of sorts by using real time PET or other brain scans with a computer interface, so this is not fantasy.

Finally a hint as to what might have happened :) This is still very interesting and makes for a great read. You still tend to get a little wordy, but nothing that can't be fixed in a later edit. Great stuff.

As for a regional war in the Middle East- maybe the 6th sense is already being stimulated. And coffee- oh yeah, I'd be shouting. As for finding something to take out stealth bombers, a word of advice- beware the MacGuyver moment.

This story is fun to read so far. I admit, I do have a lot of catching up to do with your stories, but I do intend to finish reading them.
I like the way you have captured the dialect and accent in the dialogue, makes it authentic sounding.
It is all very interesting, especially the bit about using the satellites, solar panels and radio.
I am glad that you did not lose most of your writing!
