Well, that battle was over pretty fast, but well described. It had excitement and had a satisfactory conclusion. there is some hope with the prospect of some supplies. Maybe, the prisoners could be put to work and build a fortress!? for protection? Just an idea. Lively action scene. Moving on well. Faye

I don't know if they can trust these guys who just attacked them. Do you? Probably not. LOL! But I'm sure you'll make it work no matter what you decide. I do know that too large a group will always splinter and have internal conflict, but how large is too large?

You have pulled out all the stops right here Mikey. One of the best battle scenes I have ever read. Exciting!!! I was hoping that Ma and the boys might come to the rescue. Christine is amazing and believable. That is what is so great about her. I believe she could be real and i could be like her! Good luck topping this. Ha! Loved it. NG

I only read this chapter the and found that the book is going to be very interesting, full of excitements, confusion and suspense...definitely other chapters will also be same...enjoyed reading the chapter....

It sounds to me like everything is on course. Now time to bury bodies, salvage their shoes and whatever clothing has no arrow holes. Make slaves out of the prisoners until they prove loyalty. I'd call them indentured servants rather than slaves. That a word moving toward politically incorrect
