midnight at the oasis is where I found the faceless. hanging from a nylon rope. The day and night just seem to elope. I am not crazy, just a bit hazy. Down and out on the other side of awareness. I'm found with the numb and careless...

I liked this poem, as it flowed smoothly within it thoughts and poetic phrases.

The mind is an opening to forever, isn't that clever. Said the thought transference to the vibration. Just as I thought I was okay. Up jumped these thoughts and I ran away... John

Hah! Loved the "wax poetic" response to this "crazy" piece, John. Too bad I can't give reviews for--uh, well, reviews. You'd get at least a five.

    The Urban Dictionary
    wax-poetic
To "wax poetic" means to become increasingly verbose and romantic in speech. To become more and more like a poem.

"Wax" = increase, "wane" = decrease.

Damn, Dean, this scared the bejeebers out of me! =:o

Good iambic tetrameter with the last stanza lines in trimeter. Spooky to the max. And how do you turn that music off - it scared my cat!

And the coup de gras, a looney bin employee (the doctor?) Argghh you got us all with this one. Great, great job.

Hah, thanks Lucretia (what an awesome, Gothic sounding name, very poetic!). Just hit the mute button on your computer, my dear friend. That will usually take care of it.

As far as that ending, well, I wanted those who read it to decide for themselves who they wanted it to be.

Thanks for such an encouraging review.

A powerful statement is made within this thought provoking piece. All writing should leave some form of impact, and yours certainly has. The impact and meaning is in itself captivating. Well written, with a reality that threatens to jump off the page and drop kick you.

Given my own previous horrific lifestyle, we as human beings can venture to limits we never dreamed imaginable. Its all really a progression of our emotions, manifesting themselves into reality.

The plot had an intriguing ability to hold my interest from the opening to the finish. Your characterization is brilliantly crafted and realistically brought to life. Has all the makings of a powerful novel, and my friend, if anyone could weave it, I'm sure with the talent you've expressed within this piece, you certainly could.

Wish I had one, definitely worthy of a six and then some...Regards

Yeah, the loony bin is a crazy place, isn't it? No monsters can be more horrible than the ones produced by the human mind.

Isn't that the ever lovin' truth? Ted Bundy, Jeffery Dahmer, Richard Trenton Chase, Albet Fish, Andrei Chikatilo ... These are the real lunatics and monsters. The ones I make up pale in comparison.

Thanks, JM. I see you've posted something new. I'll be having a go at it shortly.

I won't post much because of my busy schedule, and I'm editing a book by a writer, plus my own, but I won't forget you guys. I'll always do plenty of reviews now, even though I'll post less. I have a destination for those monsters in my future writing, you'll see.

Heh heh ... indeed! How do you do it, Dean?

I'd be afraid to pitch a tent in your head - even if I won a free weekend for two to go there .... that's a compliment, I suppose!!

I so appreciate the new format - nice, eye-friendly sized font.

Nicely done, my friend.

Hah, well. thank you Reach (I think?), I wouldn't recommend it.

I'm glad you liked the new formatting. Tom suggested I try and work on it, so I have. Fanstory's new formatting editors have helped immensely, too.

I appreciate the review, as always, my friend!

Just think of bugs bunny, the coyote and all them fellas,or: the "Looney Tunes". Both spellings are very common, though.

Thanks again, Reach. You are a gem!

To the author I say that this is the very first time that I have read a wonderful piece of this nature, being that I write fiction , I say that it is excellent truly wonderful and the effects are extraordinary, very imaginative and sends chills up your spine as I read.....a piece that can cause that effect is very powerful...

The very first, TELLER OF TALES? That's quite a statement. However, I shall take you at your word, my friend. My poetic ventures are a bit...different.

The fact that I accomplished sending chills up your spine pleases me immensely. It means I have done what I had set out to do. Horrify someone.

As always, I appreciate the kind remarks. Thanks for giving my work a try.

Dear Dean - crap stop scaring the heck out of me! I can hear you laughing too you bugger!
Your post packs a punch with great images and solid rhyme - on the serious side I wonder what kind of torture the mind must weave through in such a place of insanity. For me this is powerful - but then I am a marshmallow and scare easy. Great writing as always and now the music is killing me - gotta go.
Thanks for sharing - not!

Hah, thanks, Maureen...I think? No, I'm only kidding, I do thank you. The fact that you read my posts, even though the genre isn't exactly your cup of tea, and you pretty much know what you're getting into...sort of- makes me appreciate your reads & reviews all the more.

Thanks, Bev, coming from you, that means a lot. The only reason I haven't followed your "MOON" novels isn't because I wouldn't like to, I would. But, I missed so much of the beginning that I feel I'd be ripping you off giving you a review about a story I know virtually nothing about. I just wanted you to know that. I wish I had time to to go back to chapter one, and start from the beginning. The time just isn't there.

Thanks for the fabulous review. It's always nice hearing from you!

See, Dean, that's why I have always considered you a real gentleman -- because you would take time to be honest with me about that. And I fully understand about time. There are so many good writers, and I follow a lot of them, so something's gotta give.

Have a good weekend, my friend.

    Warmest regards, Bev

Shitscaredness [shit-sac-red-ness]- The act of being scared shitless ...

Hah! Believe me when I tell you this, dip. I'm gonna use that term in a story sometime. I don't know when, I don't know where-- but I know I will. That was figgin' priceless! I'm really glad you liked this "crazy" thing. And your work inspires me as well.

Thanks for the belly laugh, and the awesome review!
