Heroic Crown of Sonnets, sure. But a Herculean effort, no doubt about it!
I must say, Tony, that of all of these I have read, this one really made the most sense to me. I especially enjoyed how you took us on a journey from infancy, to what we all ultimately face the moment we're born--death.
I applaud you noble, well penned effort with a gracious bow. This is one whale of a ride!

Heroic Crown of Sonnets, sure. But a Herculean effort, no doubt about it!
I must say, Tony, that of all of these I have read, this one really made the most sense to me. I especially enjoyed how you took us on a journey from infancy, to what we all ultimately face the moment we're born--death.

Wow a crown of heroic sonnets, another new one for me, there is no doubt you are an accomplished poet, and this one you have put so much of yourself in it. I loved the first half of it immensely. I must confess I am not great at long poems.(cathartics) I have learned from your authors notes, for that I am grateful.

Thank you so much for your kind review, Mary. I loved your description of long poems as cathartics. This was definitely a one-off for me! I'm not a great fan of verbal incontinence either!

What a great sonnet. The time and effort that this sonnet took to write is apparent. Your poem flows nicely. The cadence is nice and easily heard when read out loud. Excellent sonnet and well written. Good job!

I have never read a crown sonnet. What an interesting poetry challenge reminds me of an epic prose as in Milton's paradise or even Beowulf with more rules. Thanks for teaching me something new katz

fill my fragile, mists of mystery, soon I spiraled, shall shift - good use of alliteration and assonance in various places
This is definitely a form that requires time and thought to compose, so I applaud you :-) I have to admit it is one of my least favorite forms, for though the writer has to be a really good writer and a committed one to get through so many lines, my attention just drifts before I reach the end. I don't mean this about your poem but about every poem I've ever read in the form. But great respect for pulling it off :-) Brooke

Thanks, Brooke! I thought I'd give it a go though I'm no great fan of long poems either. Most nuggets are about the right size to fit in a nutshell. As you probably noticed, my attention also started wandering off around about the halfway mark! :)
