This is a such a wonderful sentiment for Alvin's Memorial Book. And your tribute has more than one meaning I think.

We will all miss Alvin, but I feel sure right now he is feeling honored by the outpouring of admiration from so many of the writers on the site.

Thank you fir sharing

Thanks so much, Ann. I appreciate your kind response and the gift of stars. In the picture, the trees represent his family and friends mingling together as he departs for heavenly realms. He will be missed in our circle of writers.

Hi, KimBob. Yes, Alvin was one of a kind. I remember him from nearly ten years ago after I joined up. He was always very helpful with my poetry, Good tribute, my friend. Bob

Hi Bob. Thanks so much for stopping by. Yes, Alvin always corrected me when I'd try to write a haiku poem. I never could get it right. We are a close knit bunch, aren't we? And yet we've never met in person. But huge friends anyway.
I appreciate your kind words, and the gift of stars.
    your pal,

a thoughtful tribute to Alvin both in your author notes and the haiku itself
I love the irony and insight of your observation :-) Brooke

Thanks, Brooke. What sad news today. I haven't been around much lately...aches and pains, caring for a baby, Judy's brother in palliative care now, and working at the drug store. There's no time for poetry, or even much reviewing. So this was a shocker. We are family in Fanstory too, and we feel the loss... remember Missy? I just had to write something for the Haiku sheriff. He corrected me so many times, but always in a kind way.
I really appreciate your kind comments, and the gift of stars.

I very much remember Missy, who was a special friend of mine. :-) I often think of her. I know Alvin was special like that to many people. How very sad he died so young.

Awesome tribute Father for Al. He will be missed by all. Sigh this Haiku says that very well.

Goodbyes are hard to say, and makes us appreciate the ones we have right here and now to love now even more so. A lovely tribute. Thanks for sharing. Les

Thanks, Les. I haven't been in here much lately, so this was sad news today. Fanstory has lost a wonderful member, and we have lost a great friend.

An apt observation, and well expressed. I think Alvin would approve of the brevity and voicing. :) So true. Death creates an intimidate vortex. Nice presentation. Good consonance of S.

May our Alvin rest in peace.

Blessings, rd

Thanks for your kind comments, rama. This was such bad news today. I haven't been in here much, so it was a bit of a shock. Death seems so final, but we have to remember that we will see our loved ones again in Heaven.
I appreciate your review, and the gift of stars.
