Good Evening, Poet
This poem is deeply layered, just as an excellent short form poem should be. I admire your use of "Teacher's lessons tucked inside my passion'. These are powerful lines. Well done.

I am so very glad you added a chapter to celebrate Alvin's life. Your haiku embodies the passion he had for this poetic form.

His inspiration lives on.

This is a more than usually interesting haijin! There is much knowledge that we store away when pursuing our passions, knowing that it will come in useful sometime, and when it reaches a critical mass we find suddenly that the gradual accumulation can lead to an explosive flowering!

Sad that we will never share that same exact experience. He left us a legacy of inspiration.
