Isn't arrogance fun? The funny thing is, clowns like Joe Anonymous don't realize what pricks the are. Reminds me is a review I recently received, a condescending ,consoling four for my "attempt at verse". My reply? Thank you for your generous review on my feeble attempt at verse". He then praised me for being professional, that most poets fly off the handle. I actually had to reply back that I was being sarcastic and that negative reactions to his reviews may have to do with his condescension. In other words, they just don't get it.

A perfect picture for this biting write. I read something similar on another contest--undoubtedly the same. Hey, maybe the guy is a psychopaths who gets sexual pleasure with this kind of remark. Maybe he's more to be pitied than censored. Good write, mikey. Hope it gets red by the unsub.

Yes, my friend I think we have all been tagged by a reviewer like that. I try to not to allow the standard reviewers, because they are most likely to do that, but some newbies or oldies who have 2nd accounts also do it. But that goes with the game, I guess. Well said.

Jonathan Swift to the rescue! Wow, Mikey, Dearest, you have just written the most sardonic piece I've read since 10th grade! It was well-conceived and well-warranted. My favorite line (one that was relatively serious in tone, too!) was " I would rather be punched in the face than looked past as though I am not even there." It says everything. It reminds everyone of the fact that there are actual human beings stripping their souls bare behind every piece of writing on this site. I appreciate what you've done, especially that you drove home the point of having balls, by openly and publicly admitting (with your name signed!) to be employing a degree of ignorance in assuming that the Fanstory Assassin is also a necrophiliac. You are spot on. Why would someone want to wield a vote on this site with no purpose whatsoever than to be hurtful, and to top it off, NOT reveal their identity? Talk about CRASS!
I believe that human beings are allowed to be ignorant, faltering, fallible, but in the interest of progress and community. I may have lots of opinions (including disdain for spineless idiots!), but how could I ever hope to achieve a communal understanding if I anonymously hovered around the periphery of that community? What purpose does it serve to promote my opinions, presumably for the benefit of all involved, if I am not willing to have an open mind, or at least an open heart?

lol, We have had quite of few of these, mean spirited cave trolls reviewing lately. I think it is the weather, it is making people cranky and mean, and they are lashing out harder than normal.

Some write rotten things and leave a name, when you go into their profile, they haven't written anything! What is that about?? I kinda think the "Thumper theory" is a good thing to ascribe to, "If you can't say nuthin' nice, don't say nuthin' at all." Or at least if you can't politely say something helpful or constructive, just take a pass on reviewing. I think a lot of folks writing is considered a part of themselves, or at least they're offering up the best they have, for the most part, and to tramp on that can be well more than a little hurtful or discouraging. Believe me, so freakin' much damage can be done when arrogant jackasses can hide behind a computer screen. I applaud you for putting out there for all to see what I'm sure many feel about such reviews/people.
