An anonymous reviewer is not to be taken seriously. Their motives are not constructive. Even with the more serious reviews, I watch to see how many others have written the same. I know how you feel cause I've run into that. At first, I get mad, hurt, but then I realize what's going on, and then just say, "Thank you." Les

True. I take it better when it is directed at me. This was directed at 18 people entered in a contest. A very public forum. Anyway, fun to let off some steam!! Thanks, mikey

Excellent commentary. I have seen similar remarks on this site. I'd like to think it's a lone coward, hiding behind a cloak of anonymity, but I guess that's too much to hope for.

was to much to resist, glad I did, your sarcasm alone was worth it, love it.
Being for eleven years in FanStory, my experience has been that most of this element don't even write here, they just do reviews , and their purpose
is to annoy. Bravo Michael, good writing and rightful indignation. Pili

This is very well written, especially since Fanstory has a less that spectacular reputation for an honest contest. The cheaters can look forward to one or two days on the black list and comeback to do it again.

I enjoyed reading your rant, and I must say I have to agree with a lot of what you say. I have been targeted once by someone similar here. It may even be the same person. The one thing I have learned as a blogger though, also helps here - Don't feed the trolls. It only feeds their egos.

I've been on FS awhile, and one thing I've come to realize is that there are some pretty darn good writers on this site. Many should rightfully feel a level of self actualization from their writing. Others can't write their way out of a wet paper bag and somehow get self-actualization from denigrating the work of others. Just me.

I have to admit that I didn't try to help you spot areas that need to be revisited, but it's your fault! I got wrapped on your post and wanted to see where you were headed. I've been on FS awhile, and one thing I've come to realize is that there are some pretty darn good writers on this site. Many should rightfully feel a level of self actualization from their writing. Others can't write their way out of a wet paper bag and somehow get self-actualization from denigrating the work of others. Just me.

Maybe someone should write a piece about this. If you can't say something nice, shut the hell up. No, not every piece posted is a winner, but the point of Fanstory is to help. I agree with you whole heartedly. If none of the entries were up to par, don't review or vote. Great sarcastic tone to this. Hopefully, the culprit is either off the site by now or maybe has learned what a writing community is all about.
