I was taught yesterday by an other member of the site that you are allowed to make a Haiku like this. It brings a nice message and has an excellent general layout.

Scary pairing of artwork and poem, which is in excellent 5/7/5 syllable count for the contest
While I would capitalize Satan and God as proper names, I'd drop the other upper case letters for the haiku
good alliteration in screams Satan
and consonance in sound asleep
A powerful message of faith

I like this piece quite a bit. It reflects the way I have felt most of my life. If God is in my corner then why would I be afraid of anything. People always wonder why I don't have any fear. I always tell them, "Did you see who I brought with me?" Great piece. If people understood it completely and took it to heart that would eliminate a lot of worry in the world! Well done. mikey

This Haiku and the presentation of it is very well done.
When in the dark, instead of being afraid, go to sleep with God on your mind and it won't even matter.
Good job, Carolyn

Darkness Screams - translated Satan but he is also "angel of
light."
But let him scream, "If God before us who can be against us.?"

It does seem as if evil happens at night. But as long as one stays on the path, Satan can't touch us. Good alliteration with the S sound. Assonance with scream and sleep.

Well, Vance. You've managed, in just thirteen words, to create quite a thought provoking and compelling write. I, on the other hand, happen to look at darkness in this--um--light, if you will...
Have you ever seen millions of twinkling stars dotting a sun-filled sky? No, it requires total darkness for us to be able to see them. The blacker, more ebony and cloudless the nighttime skies are, the better we can view them. Light can not exist without darkness, and the same is true in reverse. They are strange bedfellows, true, this darkness and light. But bedfellows, nonetheless.
Thanks for causing me to think, my dear friend.

Dean..great to hear from you and doubt you need much motivation for thinking! My guess is you spend most of your time there by the "light and the dark" of your massive talents. All things must have an opposite except perhaps a Mobius strip...hmmm! Vance

Hi Vance
now here is a haiku that should make one shun the devil and believe in God just shows The Good Lord has supreme power over evil..

Darkness screams "Satan"
Be then sound asleep with God
It will not matter
Well, well your Grayness Vance, something new, more amazing then ever.
So encouraging for the readers to believe, when we believe in God, Satan is dead.
Amazing, beautiful, and strong. Much love Terry xoxo

This has great scriptural overtones about not caring about the acts of darkness,. Jesus said " fear not, I have overcome the evil one ", a perfect entry for this contest! Well done, Vance. Blessings, Roy.
