Vance, this is solidly written with interesting mental images of time, space, and place. The personifications are strong in my charts, life sails, and sea of me. Well penned my friend. :0 GracieAnn

Good choice of a picture. Nice poem, as always. Some interesting words. Carpathian ship, like a galley? passenger ship? Amazing, published your first poem at ten. Man, I'm way behind the eight ball. Yelp, traveling is fun. Addicting, did a lot of traveling in the Navy. I wrote a lyric/poem in honor of "The Highwayman," called Tumbleweeds. A tribute, I like the old country legends. I'm not enthused by this generation of music which seems lost? I saw on TV, a documentary about the Titanic. They suggested, an optical illusion was the demise of the survivors. Why their ship didn't respond to the Titanic as it sank. good job, mate. wackydo

Many thanks Wackydo....great to hear from you and certainly appreciate your comments. I had a lot of reviews questioning what Carpathia means and of course, it was the first ship called to help save the Titanic passengers which I noted in the author notes but obviously not clearly enough. THANKS AGAIN...VANCE

Your foot note explains what your poem is meant to say. And your poem does indeed say that. It is like the Titanic but you gave the ship an other name.

I like how use used the ship to transposed with the first line, the storm of life. I looked upon the ship called doomed and felt sadden. Well written.
