A touch of sarcasm seems to accompany this piece and adds to the sadness the sadness of the reality for the ones who care about those who have thrown their lives needlessly away. A very touching and heartbreaking tale. Wonderful description that conveys the scene and emotion quite well.

I liked the artwork you chose, it complements your free verse so well. An as your foot note said people that talk a lot go from one subject to an other, like in your poem. I do the same actually:) Best wishes for the contest.

I found this funny when I finally realized where it was going. Having worked in mental health, I've witnessed chatter on the high end of bi-polar and with children with ADD. This, I think pertains to that one individual that dominates the group with meaningless conversation. Very creative and artfully presented.
