There is no doubt that life is full on both the negatives and the positives. Thus, as your poem points out - we must focus on the positives so we won't be overwhelmed.

Good few and many thoughts of the emotions along the highway of life. Many obstacles and diversions, yet much to wonder and much to see if one only opens the eyes.
I felt the urgency and passion in this write which delivered a rapid fire of emotions without giving time to breathe.
This action almost mimics the action of daily life. Sometimes we need to resist the urge, step back, and see what we have been blind to see. Perhaps then we can enjoy the scenery along the way.

you wrote this in the style I construct my music play-lists... I hit out with a nice ballad to get in the mood... then something nice to get you feeling that special way... then throw something in to rock your senses... just to follow with a soothing melody to calm the way... throw in... you get the picture... what a wonderfully and cleverly constructed poem that tells the true journey of wisdom... and nothing better than gratitude for all that is.

Yes roads have many twists and turns, beauty of the scenery, the storms we have to weather, natures furry, man's kindness or destructive behavior..lots of roads, sometimes highways to no place. Enjoyed the comparisons of many things. Terrie

Dear Debbie - a strong post for this contest. I like your images and thought provoking poem - I felt it needed a line space somewhere so it wouldn't seem like one big block of words. But overall a great post and good luck in the contest.
