I have read my versions of the Jack the Ripper murders, and with so many discrepancies in the actual files, there was never anyway of knowing the truth. But that doesn't keep us from wondering and imagining. Great job, as always, of leaving us that one more element of question. Thanks for another engrossing poetic tale.

How gory is this! My problem is the first person POV. If he's dead at the end, how can tell his own story? I love the probable truth that he got off on his first killing. If his first hadn't come for him, he would be another serial killer-oops, the real Ripper was just that.

Because, he isn't dead...he's undead. He's been transformed into a blood-sucker by the very girl whose life he attempted to take. That's the myth, anyway, that the reason they never caught him was because he became a vampire.

Thanks for your opinions and the review, Spit. Read it again, and you'll catch the clues...

This is amazing. Beautiful written and crafted so very well.

Am a fan of the genre and feel the Ripper is one of the most terrifying killers in history. This piqued my interest in revisiting the story.

Thanks so much. AT=/

Wow! I'm speechless. I don't even kknow what to say. I clicked this and was absorbed by it without knowing the generous member dollars offered. I like the fact that made this a story, a vivid one of concrete images and heart wrenching verbs and adjectives. Spellbinding is how best to defines this. Move over Poe! Stan

Hah, well, Old Edgar might just have a thing or two to say about that, Stan. I'm very glad that you think so, anyhow.

Thanks so much for the awesome review!

murder gets it in the end? But I like the way you add this element of mysterious masters into the mix - the marionette pulled by evil strings.

A very haunting poetic verse about Jack the Ripper. The stanzas read very well and flow from one to another. The story also has good rhythm. A very scary work. Don

What a chilling picture, Dean, accompanied by chilling music and a chilling text about someone I find fascinating. I've even done a midnight walk in London to the sites of his murders, most of which is newer construction, but a few places where it still looks like it did. Well done, my friend.
