I love the morale of each story I have read so far. Similar stories were taught to me as a child, different animals but the thought process was the same. Good overcame evil, kindness beget kindness, greed beget greed. Thanks so much for sharing these. I will call it quits for today. (smile).

I like the moral of this story, that the good guys always win. I also like to see justice done, so like the fact that the other tribe is punished. I could not be a woman in this tribe, as I would not like digging out snakes! LOL

Hi Kay

I've so enjoyed this story, and wonderfully penned. Great picture, sure would like to put a fish that size on my barbie. YUM!

Another interesting, informative and educational read. I love that there is a moral to the story and the wisdom of time passed. So impressed with Sonali and her editing ... she is a gem. She's spotted a few spag for me.

I hope everything is OK?? You haven't posted for quite a while. I had a surprise for you ... my latest post. Please keep safe and well. Hugs - Lovi xoxoxo

Hello Lovi, Thanks so much for reading; glad you liked the story. Yes, Sonali is a gem. I haven't been interested in writing since Christmas - we have had two dreadful heatwaves and some places reached 43c constantly. However, I am nearly finished writing a short story for a contest - don't go away now! Lots of love, Kay XX

    Hi KAy

I was a bit worried ..... then yes, I agree .. the heat has been a shocker. Phillippa in SA and you in QLD had the super heat ... I think we only managed thirty nine. My house is a hot-box when the air-con not on. I'm dreading the electricity bill. :( Good luck with the story and I'll check it out. Hugs - Lovi xoxoxo

A fascinating tale, Kay. I totally enjoyed reading this, and was so pleased that Great Spirit intervened on behalf of the gentle Brinjal tribe. What wonderful lessons in these stories! Hugs, Bev

You set the stage extremely well in your opening

Mesta, who has head man - add comma
what they need to survive, and they - add comma
Excellent dialogue as representatives of the two tribes argue
watched on, and he was so saddened - add comma
sky struck the lake, and the voice - add comma
I love the way the Creator resolves the dispute
Another fantastic story in this series

You've got something different and unique going here. I thoroughly enjoyed another fable in your series.

Have a lovely rest of the week, my wonderful friend.

Sonali, You are so kind to me - I have copied your edits so I can make changes to the story. I do so appreciate your time and wisdom. I wish more folks would review properly! Your snow must be a devil to climb through! We have been watching the weather reports on the US and Canada. Lots of Love, Kay XXX

Another excellent tribal Australia story putting a real human face on the Brinjal; their enemies honour needed. I wish I had a sixth star to celebrate your writing

My sonnet has been rewritten as it should have been when I prematurely posted it. Had some help from Marillion. Great man and poet. Take a look and say what you think. Best wishes Aussie - Alan

That is one huge fish in that photo. I enjoyed reading this legend regarding the good tribe and the tribe taking advantage of its good Gracie's. in the end, they got what they deserved.

The story kept my interest from the start... John
