We've lost our way...are we er society spanking monkeys when that is a ridiculous distraction to the real problems at hand. We have lost our way..this is what I take from your poem.
I liked it...of course I could be way off base. Poetry can be like that.

Its tounge and cheek about the way leaders are portraying themselves as the true saviours of the world when in fact behind closed doors their more intrested in spanking each others monkeys and collecting each others entrance money for the mincing Monday rituals ... the glory hole is us ... society ... that is why they take great delight in the run up to election so they can shaft us as much as they like and take no responsability for their actions ... imagine if every politicians actually took responsability for their decisions instead of denying it was ever anything of importance morally or otherwise.

Anytime my friend ... I used to be a regular around here but for about a year I have been disillusioned with the site and was bored enough to see how the newbies are doing and what the feel is on the site after being a way for so long ... if you want fan me and keep up with the poetry at your own leisure ... no pressure to review is just that with my lack of concentration I dont review much and dont make the top slots ... the poetry is more than funny money ... chow dude.

I like your poem and it has a great message. It flows well and has a nice cadence to it. Free verse is my favorite form of poetry and I think you have done a great job. My favorite lines are: "Discarding both pomp and ceremony/erect and tall he bedazzles." Really good job! It sounds like you are describing corporate America!
