Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

When the warm, soft curtains of Hope
Drop silently at last in the dark theatre of reality
The silence of truth screams its last goodbye to love
And loneliness commands all consciousness
All the lights of creativity are now dark
All the seats of inspiration now are empty
And you are now alone in the wilderness of silence
To go now to the stage of wishes and sing to the
Audience of nothingness

Oh Vance, this poem took m y breath away, your lonely spirit and soul
reached to the end of the world. What a beautiful sad sad poem. Yet I do feel so much with your loneliness, we all do pass through the aloneness, heartfelt felt . Much love Terry xoxo

scream/command - strong verbs add to the power of your poem
effective imagery such as the soft curtains of Hope
compelling expression of intense emotion
good consonance of L sounds in alone in the wilderness of silence

Hi,His Grayness,

"The Theatre of Reality" is a good free style poem written in good figurative language and imagery (warm, soft curtains of hope). It has good flow and structure.

Not all theatres have to be haunted by yesteryears ghosts but all probably are. Remember the show must go on. Thanks for sharing and keep writing.

This has a surreal and elusive feel. An "Audience of nothingness' at first baffled me. Thought the theatre was empty... then realized maybe it's an imaginary one. You write that the seats are empty. Now from your imaginary reviewer I give it five thumbs up! Les
