It may not have looked at you but I believe it did present itself for you to see. I love those quite moments when nature does pose for a poem.

    Thank you ravenblack. Thought it was going to fly. Had my high speed camera set to catch it. But it was content to sit and my wife was getting impatient.

Nice tribute to a bluebird. We have many here, and they are always enjoyable to watch. Has the weather moderated some up your way? It's been nice here, but more cold weather is in the forecast.

An excellent sweet little poem that makes a very poignant observation about this bird and nature. The refrain added a silent almost trance-like quality of the piece. Well done.

Hi, Treischel,
"Bluebird" is an excellent Quatern observing all of the conventions of that form. It also has excellent rhyme and rhyme scheme of acbd followed consistently. It has beautiful figurative language and imagery. (resplendent in its feathered fare) This refrain works.

Excellent you could take this photo, telelens used, I suppose. It complements your quatern very well, which has strong repeating lines.

Did you forget an "a" in S4L3? Other than that, I like this a lot. A simple poem about a simple event, and it's well written, to boot.

Good stuff. I liked it. :)
