I loved the art work and words and everything about this poem Peter.

Having a baby is the beginning of

A very busy life as parents.

The picture is wonderful and this baby

Will love his parents as well as they will love him.

Dear Peter,
Wonderful form of rhyme and metre (Damn, I wasn't going to provide such superfluous comment). He looks like a cunning little beggar. LOL In spite of my advanced years compared to you, I am still waiting for my bone idle grandsons to get off their backsides, get married and produce another generation.

Harry is adorable and so is Mommy, Daddy and the poem Peter.
It's wonderful Jinny was there to enjoy him for a while. Well done. Looks like his question would be, "Well what do you think?" xxxNancy

Yes, you've probably interpreted the question in his eyes that his lips can't yet say. Thank you for your lovely comments, Nancy. Peter

Such a charming poem, Peter.

You are right, having a baby does cause one to re-arrange one's schedule.

Great use of form.

Always a pleasure to read you, Peter.

Hugs, your fan, d

This is quite adorable, Peter. Both the story of Harry and his antics, plus the photo. Great rhyming and alliteration.
Babies are wonderful little beings with so much energy and wonder in their eyes! God gave them to us to renew our strength and energy for the latter part of our lives, I think. Just when we're tiring and losing hope, a little life comes into ours and shines new light.
Thanks for sharing this with me.

solid use of abab rhyming
nice proximate rhyme of young/some
nice touches of alliteration
He is a little sweetheart, and his parents look justly delighted with him :-)
I love your celebratory tone, and what in this world merits more celebration than a new life?

Thank you, dear friend. You caught my mind just right. Jinny was so delighted with Harry, who giggled when she tickled him, and then poked her. She could not sit up or cuddle him, but he made those moments in her life so worth while. I can't write any more.
