I had heard that one too. But if it were true, there would be a lot of hairy skeletons out there. Good to know that it is just a myth. Thank you for sharing.

That is a very strange "myth" indeed.
Our minds can believe almost anything that it is told.
Especially if someone is convincing, right?
Thanks for this correction from Goggle search of the truth.
I am so relieved...LOL
Bless you!

I heard that hair on your toes fall off and that's how they can be sure that a body is dead. Glad what you found out from the hairdresser was a myth. Because it's really freaky information. Great investigative report in a poem.

Hello Robina. This is a gruesome thought. But actually for a short while hair and nails do keep growing . Brain cells die quickly but hair and nail cells which use less oxygen can grow for a LITTLE while after death. Ugh! Enough of that. Thank you for submitting and the picture. Regards Dorothy.

I've heard this so many times, and always found it a bit macabre. So, it's just a myth.
You express yourself well in this poem, Ine.

'A Myth.' Ah yes Ine, people are stange that way, they spread myths like theses as if it is gospel, and then the world believes it. Well done contradicting the myth.

Yes. I have heard that too. The skin shrinks and recedes giving the impression that the hair and nails are growing. Unless it is a vampire! Hahaha. What a scary little picture from Skyangel02. Creepy. Fun piece. mikey

Good description that draws a clear image in my mind. Good alliteration with made/my...Poe/poem...really/reality. Good simile use with like a Poe poem. Good complimentary photo followed by a clear message.

Really, I always believed it possible but I suppose it really isn't. I'm glad you cleared that up for me. Of course it is a myth! How silly is that? LOL Good story Ine. Nancy
