This is a very cute story. The characters interact well with each other. The dialogue sounds natural. I think it would be a great child's story.

A very cute and clever litte children's story. What nice and energetic farmers. Great lesson in teamwork. No their feathers dont thicken, but they will often stay put if there is open water. The Nuclear power plant at Montecello, MN, discharges warm water into the Mississippi river. There are swans, geese, and ducks there all year long, even when it gets below zero.

Thank you. I 'll have to change that about the ducks, I do like to keep everything as accurate as possible, except of course the talking animals. =}

A delightful light-hearted childrems story with a safety message as well and some good advice.
I'm sure the children will relate to the antics of the anilmals when no-one is watching and also the concept of how easily danger can arise if care isn't taken when making choices.
Ilove the concept and the story.

Dear Roxanna,
I don't think I have read any of your delightful Super Pig tales before. The one-time kindergarten/elementary school teacher in me was absolutely enchanted!
This was a lovely change of tempo before I head off to bed. Been reviewing some really heavy stuff!
So very well done. Thank you for the smiles.
Happy New Year to you too - quack-quack!

Sonali :)
She grabbed a (wingful) of snow
barn and he stood at the door(,) barking encouragement.
The sun was now high (overhead) and shining
and crock-crock! ... croak-croak ..?

It had snowed overnight, and - add comma
You set the stage effectively in your opening
I like that the story is from the point of view of the pig
going to visit friends, so you go - add comma
excellent dialogue throughout
I like how all the animals work together to rectify the situation
:-) Brooke

I'm so bad with commas. I either have too many or not enough. =}

Very cute story, nicely told. Your characters are well-drawn. I always think animals make the best characters. Their dialogue was great and it read well from start to finish. Faye

What a lovely story, Rox! All the different animals playing and having fun together. Then, when one is in danger, they all want to help. I love Super Pig! LOL, I could see her in her outfit.
Just a couple of little nits.
First paragraph - thick blanket(of)sparkling snow
That's look awesome, - That is awesome, or, That's awesome,
A really lovely story with a good lesson in it. :) Sandra
