What a great picture, wish I took it! This poem, a break from your usual style into a lyrical free verse. Oh to be an Eagle! You paint a beautiful portrait of the magnificent bird in flight. Only your dragon flies higher. Really enjoyed this wonderful verse.

It lifts me to imaginary heights, where eagles (& angels) soar. I am a great believer in magic, as constantly surrounded by it, so live it, on earth, below & above, such incredible beauty, manifested from the invisible ! Fantastic pic!!! I 'belong' to the natural world & gaze in awe at the 'wild divine'...

Amazing.....This cloud looks just like a large eagle in flight...Eagles are just back here again in the US, they were, unfortunately, practically extinct here not too long ago...The last stanza is a very uplifting advice.....A great poem & thanks for letting us know....C.

Thank you so much for reading and commenting on my little trip with my Eagle..I am well aware of the plight of these fine feather friends..Being from Cal I recall the DDT problem and how it almost eradicated these fine creatures.. Now living in Hawaii we worry about the other end of the spectrum Sea Turtles.. Think I will have to write about, instead of a flight, the plight of a Turtle !!
