Hi, Niyuta,

What an extraordinary look at such a horrible disease. Because, really, one really doesn't know for sure what goes in in the mind when it forgets reality.

Interesting interpretive.

Cheers & Blessings

Jax: Indeed we do not know where the mind is when cognitive organs don't seem to work and brain stops processing the external input. It has to be somewhere if not here. I felt it must be communicating in some different ways which we have not discovered yet. I thank you for your review.

A nice take on the mysteries of minds of those afflicted with Alzheimer's. Good positive message and light-hearted approach. Well chosen words and imagery. Enjoyable read. Faye

Thank you Faye: I often think of individuals living in some unknown world while body is still here. I hope we find some comfort in thinking that all is not lost and person we love is dealing with someone we cannot communicate with.

this is an excellent write, miyuta, you did an excellent job writing this heartfelt poem about Alzheimer patients and the silence they portray. I like the third one the best.

Thanks sweetwoodjax: I was sitting alone and wondering that there must be some reason this condition takes away our ability to remain in contacts with the surroundings and then words started to form. I appreciate your encouraging words.

My friend, the funeral service for my father-in-law, a brave, thoughtful family man who I loved dearly, will be held on the 10th of January. We have watched for years as the Alzheimer took him from us. Your poem is such a beautiful gift to me right now. It tell of no pain. I loved this poem. It was interesting, held my attention very well and I enjoyed reading it. The flow was excellent, and the words shared it's meaning. It was perfect in my opinion.

Always with respect,

Indeed we do not know why we are locked up in a silence via this state we call Alzheimer? Are we communicating with some other beings or a power? We will never know. Great Buddha could not share his experience at the moment of enlightenment as Herman Hess pointed out in his Novel, 'Siddhartha'. Thanks for your review.

This is absolutely beautiful. I recently lost a loved one to the disease and your poem brings me great peace.

Thank you for writing.

Verse four: how about 'what need have I,' rather than 'what need I have?' Just a thought.

Thanks for your comments. I am gratified that some thing prompted this poem to me as if it was for others to get comforts from it. I am also thanking you for that question mark I forgot.
