You have a wonderful way of telling the most mundane and sometimes odd things with a humor that is wonderful. I even got a kick out of your author notes. I have been known to post just because and I don't feel guilty for doing so. This was really fun to read. Happy New Year to you as well.

I don't know what happened. I was reading one of your poems and I drifted off into a lovely fantasy world and when I came to it was two days later. But, I am okay now. The memories though, oh....the memories!! I shall try not to complicate things. Happy New Year! mikey

This is a good stream of consciousness piece that grabs the reader's interest, because it is expressing that which is close to the mind. You have done an excellent job of inviting the reader to see and feel your mind. I enjoyed reading this passage.

Mystery and crime non-fiction indeed! Hahahahahahah! What goes on in that mind of yours???? Oh yes, you just wrote it. The post you post when you don't have anything to post...... and still you do it to perfection. I'm a little late in my review and it is past date night, none-the-less, I did need a little cheer this early morning.
I'm wondering if my hernia needs some permanent mesh ... perhaps it hasn't been discovered in Australia yet ... we can be a little behind the times? I'm not writing a sonnet, though I can identify with Shakespeare ... if my hernia bursts ... its your fault .... and this may be my last mortal review.
I have to have lunch with my mother and sister ... the doom and gloom fairies .... I will have two of my sons to fortify me ... though I think a few vodka and orange for breakfast might be just the thing ... thanks for the idea ... or maybe a Bloody Mary or three.

My God, you make me so happy!! The moment I start reading a big smile breaks out on my face and never goes away. You are like written vodka. If you have a hernia you are supposed to use it to proclaim that you are helpless and get everyone to do everything for you. Practice little yelps of pain when reaching for things. This will train everyone to get things for you. Then when it is repaired don't tell anyone. When you park your car, turn it off and put it in park. Okay, you are good to go for 2014! mikey

Thanks Mikey ... seems great minds think alike! Hahahah! I already have them trained and they will never know when it is fixed. it was nice to be chauffeured over the holidays ... I've always been the school bus driver, taxi from the station and the pick up person after the parties and a few drinkies consumed, drive school teacher to three sons. Personally though, I'm a driver/rev-head and know I'm safe when I'm behind the wheel. :)))

Well.....I don't exactly know. hahaha. I think I left the car in drive, running and got out and slipped under it somehow. The back wheel ran over me and the car stopped when it ran into the wall which was about three feet away. I was a bit bruised and I noticed tire tracks the next day on my thigh way to close where one wouldn't want to find tire tracks. So, it could have been a sad day really. But, I was not hurt and neither was the car. I think my subconscious mind did it on purpose so that I would have something to write about one day. mikey
