This is a strong and powerful poem. It aptly describes the overwhelming sense of loss and frustration that takes over when addiction kicks in. It's rough watching others go through a 'drugs phase', but understanding the lure helps one to sympathize....

This is a 5-7-5 poem that tells what it is, sending the visual image of how drugs can control a human, where souls are stolen slaved to the master devil, the drugs. I do believe the invention of modern society to cure boredom, is a devil incarnate where those afflicted, forget reason and their families and becoming the devils themselves. Vivid and frightening images of the demon with absolute power because of the craving desire that is so hard to satisfy. A lost soul has no hope, or very little against this overwhelming creature. The picture intensifies your message even more.
