I had never heard of this battle, being European, I suppose. Thanks for the foot note. And your poem described it vividly as well.

It seems we always underestimated the Indians. Geronimo was another disaster but he did eventually have to surrender. I can't blame the Indians. They were lied to over and over and put on reservation with no food or water. We treated them bad and now try to make up for it by giving them everything. It is still a mess. Really sad. Well told. War and History is not my favorite subject. But since you wrote it... I'll read it. You are clearly knowledgeable about the battle. This is informative as it is well researched. Very descriptive for good visual imagery. Good notes too. Good poetic form. Great!

A remarkable and might I say a fine effort in attempting to describe a famous battle..The Little Bighorn. As to the format called Dactyl, my old brain prefers something simple.
A good read as they say.

Thank you Stephen. Not sure I achieved the Dactyl. But it was a difficult challenge that I enjoyed.

Dear Tom: Enjoyment comes in the doing. A fine poem indeed, especially the research involved.
I remember one sentence in a novel took me an hour to write.
Cheers: Steve
