This piece was fantastic, Dean. I for one really think it takes a piece of shit to hurt a child, so I have no sympathy for the devil in this case. And yes, that Rolling Stones reference was on purpose lol. The rhymed quatrains flow perfectly and this tale of vengeance was well enjoyed by this reader. Excellent work here, Dean, thanks for sharing.

for anyone to take the innocence of a child should be executed they are the spawn of the devil himself lower than an animal they are serpents without a soul excellently penned but i found it disturbing what i would not like to do to monster like that brings out an anger inside if someone were to even touch one of my children i would kill them thats being honest

Oh my gosh, when the crying started, I jumped a mile. It took me twice to read it, to realize what you were talking about, but then it sunk in like a monster into my soul. Your description put the reader right there, Good job of awareness. I would give you a 6 if I had one to give. You left me with a heavy heart.

Dean, a well done piece on a horrific subject. Your author's notes are very complete and tell the story well. It has always been incomprehensible to me that someone would be so evil as to sexually abuse somebody else. When children are involved, it is even more heinous. When does it end? Probably never. But it is important to support agencies and programs that tackle these darkest problems of society.

The info in the author's note is horrifying and that is only in the States.
What about world wide child abuse cases?
i don't dare to imagine what will happened to these abused children.
It is so bad and made us realized the extent fo the problem.
Th poem rightly adressed the psychological impact child abuse had on the child.
We have to do more and investigate all reported cases and put the abusers in jail for life.
Such a poignant and terrifying state of affair. It had to stop!!
I feel sad reading this and wish i can do more as an individual. Sigh.
Excellent write to highlight a very grave social problem.
Ritchie.

This is horrifying even to read, Dean
these so-called men or women who abuse
young innocents are sick monsters and
need putting down.

They are not fit to mix with the human race.

Oh God, this is truly horrifying, and such a tragic and infuriating subject, Dean - what a job you've done! This is a poem that many would not even want to read, but all should. Kudos. Reality trumps feel-good and MUST in some cases...
