Are your neighbors still living there? We're looking into buying a house in the next couple years. Fingers crossed we get good neighbors. You can't pick those like you can your house.

Thanks for coming by. Yeah still there. Neighbours all around us have changed over more than 40 years since we moved here. But there is improved neighbourliness apart from the Creepies since folks know we don't drive anymore. I think I have mentioned this someplace. People all willing to go for us and help. Nice!

Hi Geoff. Try as I might outside of the fence issue, you don't tell us what is so "creepy" (look up the meaning of "creepy" LOL I suggest there would be a more apprapo word for them other than "creepy" You know?
As a poem, everything rhymes very well and it is a bit funny. Did they ever move? LOL Just curious. Bob

I may have included the fence in my autobiography. Still same neighbours we still don't talk. Thanks for coming by.

These people sound like the neighbours from hell! Thankfully I have no experienced this during my time except I have noisy Italian neighbours who like to party all night! What a painful experience for you, love Dolly x

Yeah, well the youngest used to make a lot of noise. It wouldn't bother me now as I can't hear anymore. Neighbours from Hell is pretty accurate, Thanks for coming by.

I don't know whether all circumstance is an encounter with the devil, we have Christian neighbours whose "significant" gum shed a large branch, flattening our joint fence, I paid for the materials and he provided the labour, and Lo and behold we had a brand new fence, it was so much cheaper that way, it can work out. A cute poem about your neighbors. What a clever subject to pick, and one we can all relate to, even the one about the fence. Living on a farm, we are all very aware of the responsibility of keeping up fences. Some do their part, others do not.

A very well-written poem about neighbors that can seem creepy when we first meet them and when we notice all the strange things they do it become even worse until the differences can be resolved.

So, is this about your actual neighbors then? Seems like judgement of the neighbors was too quickly taken just because they didn't live the same way as the people next to them. But everything was hunky-dory once the fence got worked on. I guess that's all it takes to make them okay.
It's a good poem! I like how the rhyming is laid out and the thought put into making it a good story about the neighbors. I've never heard of people sharing the cost of a fence before. I didn't know there was such a thing as that.

Having strange, unfriendly, or just plain bad neighbors can make a person feel so helpless. It's good that yours finally came around, in more ways than one. (You might say "creepy" less often--obviously, just my opinion.)

Ah well they have been creepy for years. Yje second youngest wanted to be friends as I said but his Mum put the "kybosh" on that. Thanks for coming by.
