Very well done. It makes the reader slow down and take notice. The rhythm of the lines, combined the soft melody of the music, together alters the emotions of the reader. Not fluff, this is what happened.

Wonderful tribute to Poe and "The Raven," which is one of my favorite poems of all time. My sixth grade teacher gave extra credit for memorizing and reciting it in front of the class. Yep, I bit. I doubt I could recite the entire poem now, but there are stanzas that still stand out. I can well image the sorts of dreams it could lead your mind to conjure--chilling.

I have done some reading on poets lately which show some significant differences contrasting poets vs other writers and poets vs the rest of society. I'm not surprised about your dream; you deal with a lot of horror stuff in your writing. I used to write and watch a lot of horror movies years ago, and that would occasionally happen to me.

Have you time. I'm working slowly with the posts of this new story too. I have a few readers complaining they wanted a chapter every day like Rose's story, but I didn't find any benefit about doing that. Many readers skipped posts, and in the end it needed bad editing and changing of particular scenes. Instead of pass the story on to an editor and trying to find a publisher, I'm still working on those changes, and still on chapter 17. Have your time!

Very Poe-esque. Took me back to my lit classes in college. The black rose, the dirt on the floor; great imagery. The bird on the bed; extra creepy. The rose dripping blood is a nice touch. Absolutely love the music. Very well done, as usual.
