First of all I would like to say that I think this is a well thought out and prepared piece. I like the word choice. I like the description within the piece. I like the shape of the piece. I think you have done a great job with this piece. Thanks for sharing.

This is a very good poem and a worthy contest
entry. I'm not exactly sure about the layout,
I think it detracts from your lovely rhyming
scheme.
Best of luck in the competition.

A good personification of winter and a good display you have created of the snowman in his top hat. Very well done. You describe how children love the snow and the fun it brings them and how mothers would like to be rid of it. But whatever people think he tells us it is his time. Time for him to begin. In your last line you lose the personification - maybe 'Time for ME to begin' or something similar. But a lovely read Regards Dorothy

This is a wonderful poem. The form enhances the piece. The word choice is strong. The tone is appropriate to the theme. Barbara

It does look like a snowman. You have winter as a fun playmate. He does not care what the old folks think. He just wants to see his playmates run about. Good luck with the contest.

I really enjoyed this entry in the personification of winter contest. The formatting of the words into a snowman certainly took a great deal of effort, one would think, and I for one really appreciate that effort. it really makes the lovely words you've written stand out that much more!

Good luck...

You describe winter really well. It's been a long time since I put coal in the eyes of a snowman since I live in Florida, but your poem brings to mind those days of youth when we didn't mind winter and looked for the fun side of it. Good luck in the contest.

This is a great personification of winter with her dropping temperatures and beautiful snow fall. I loved the images of the children with sleds and snow men and also the cute word sculpture. Well done!
