OH...I did really enjoy this one. How fun. You fit so much Merry Christmas into the whole poem. I love little snowmen/snow-monsters. :) The poem into the shape makes it so wonderful. Did you use a program to design it that way?

I did the design myself, no program. Snowmen are pretty easy to do, others I've done are not. They can drive you crazy. I'll have to look for one of those programs, would save a lot of time. =} Thanks so much Cindy. Rox

What a wonderfully shaped poem, perhaps shaped like a snowman, with appropriate landscape bumps and rounded angles to cajole the imagination. A beautifully written free verse poem, laying out a wonderful personification of the winter scape. Well done Rox, good job, blessings, Roy

This is such a sweet poem, and paints the perfect Norman Rockwell pictue of the joy a child feels at winter fun and, particularly, snow. You did a perfect job of personifying winter, and I hope this poem did very well in the contest in which it had been entered. It certainly deserves it. Shape poems are difficult, but you managed to fit lovely descriptions and excellent rhyme into your snowman shape.

The fun was obvious, but it usually is in what you write. That's why your writing is so much fun to read.

Rox, I love how well you personified winter in this poem and the creation of a snowman is quite clever. May you have a blessed weekend and keep warm. Patricia

A very well-written shape poem and the snowman looks excellent. Winter time, although it may be cold there are many fun things we can do in the snow and see them swifting through the air.

Hi Roxanna. This looks like a good entry for the contest. I could almost see the snowman you described in great detail. Of course a carrot is the nose. Here we do not have real winters. Almost never snows
Every ten years maybe a slight dusting Lowest temp so far will be tonight about 3am at 39F. I lived in snow and severe weather for nine years. Don't miss it. You did a great job. Thank you for sharing

"The wonder of it
fills many a child's eye,
as down hills of my snowy white
powder they slid. ". I think it should be present tense slide since fills is present tense

What does flet mean below?

"scarf at the neck, and top hat of
flet."

Hi, I did mean 'slide' sorry and it is supposed to be felt. Thanks for pointing those out and for the great review. I don't get snow in Orlando either, which I don't mind. =} Rox

Very Good poem - I love the snowman shape. It is very whimsical. It came up as a suggested read, so I am reviewing. I want to tell you that I loved everything about the wording and rhyme pattern. However at first I was a little tripped up because I wasn't sure when the pattern ended. But once I realized what you were doing I thought, "How cool!" It is a great winter poem. I love the picture too. I worked for non-profits myself and it is valiant work! So thank you because a lot times especially 40 years the pats on the back sometimes go unnoticed, I love the fact you were able to write this as a hobby! Cheers, Fonda
