This is a nice little pastoral-type descriptive poem. My favorite line is:
bright stars emerging from the blindness of day
I think the last two lines would benefit from punctuation. If the stars are showing the telescopes, then I would put a comma after telescopes, and just say 'and night gazers come out to play.'
Otherwise it sounds like the telescopes came out to play, too.

This is a very interesting poem that the author has created with this piece of writing. I am well-versed with the Battle of the Boyne because I was brought up in the protestant community in Donegal. The parade in Rossnowlagh was a yearly pilgrimage for protestants from all over Ireland, and indeed the world.

What I like is the picture you paint of the freely given beauty that surrounds us from sun up too sundown. What I don't like being that I am from an older generation is the none use of capitals and I found that a little distracting. But the poem, top shelf, Rod.
