Peewee unsure of its own reflection in the window's glass.
Wonder if the bird ever figured out it was seeing itself or just what eventually became of the strange criitter?-

Thanks for the lovely review mate. Haven't had any looking at themselves in the window lately.

This was a very fun piece. He reminds me of Narcissus, the greek god who fell in love with his own reflection. It's great when a modern piece can take you another place and time. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks new friend. Not sure if any rewards are still going on the other poems in this collection hope you can have a look anyway. Appreciate your review.

It is fascinating the way birds do this, exerting their territorial rights. Not unlike humans in some respects! It is interesting that those things we attack most vigorously are often no more than reflections of ourselves. A nicely framed poem about the Peewee's vanity. An enjoyable read.

Thanks very much I wonder if you are another new friend? I can't remember if I have seen your stuff before. This was the Intro to my First release of my "Book of Poultry" that I had rewards right through but I am guessing if you are in USA the rewards are just about run out on all the poems now. Appreciate your wonderful review. Hope to see you around some more.

Very sweet poem with a great fun surprise ending.
I bet he got frustrated, as the harder he pecked, the harder his 'adversary', pecked back.
I do the same thing after a few beers, though I haven't got a beak. ;-)
Nice one.
Cheers, Ray

What a cute bird, my budgerigar used to do that in his little mirror, very vain. Well chosen words and rhymes to convey your thoughts. Enjoyable read. Faye

Hi Faye are you Aussie? I was asked to do some stories about some more of our Aussie birds. I have a small movie of a budgie sitting on a shaving mirror at my Dad's place looking at himself and pecking. Was gonna say if in US there are still rewards for a little longer on the rest of this Book of Poultry if you wanna have a look. Thanks again.

You're welcome. No, I am English, but we love our budgerigars over here, I always kept them as pets when I was a child. Now, I am more a dog lover. Faye

Lol how funny. It always makes me laugh when I see birds looking in mirrors or glass panes and not realising it's their reflection. Delightful!

It can be so funny to see a bird trying to pick a fight with his reflection. They try and try to get that other bird to come out and fight fair but they never will.

I enjoyed the poem, the simplicity, the joy, the humor intended is clearly felt by the readers. The bird's confusion or perhaps love of the self, whichever it is, made the readers guessing and it made your poem more interesting. God bless.
