A beautiful addition to your novel, Aussie. Terrific imagery bringing the reader into the mystery and wonder of nature. Though the loss of the child was sad for her people, the child's death brings healing and prosperity. I totally enjoyed the read. Warmest regards, Bev

Hello Bev, Nothing ever dies sweetie; her spirit lives on to bless the people that visit the water hole (billabong.) Thanks for reading my friend. Cheers, Kay.

Dear Kay,
This is a wonderful story and your imagery is powerful. Such great detail makes this work fill out and feel more like a movie flashes through my mind.
A really expressive work on aboriginal mystics and the legends following.
Thanks for sharing - I enjoyed it very much.
Maureen

These stories of yours are incredible, Kay, I love them. This was beautiful, sad and happy. I loved the way the little girl still helped her tribe and the tribes of many from so far away. If Meriba had know that his evilness would be turned to the good of the people, little Dania might still have lived. This is a common ending for most jealous people, they never win in the end. Excellently written and such a huge pleasure to read. xsx Sandra

Hello possum, So happy that you are happy reading my work; evil begets evil and the stories are almost parallel to the Biblical lessons. I hope the storm passed over you without damage? Hugs, Kay XXX

Hi Kay,

Another great legend of the aborigine, well told by you. We didn't get to the Northern Territory, but I certainly know what a billabong is, and dingos killed our sheep, so I'm familiar with them, too.

Love and hugs,
Lois

Hello Lois, Thanks so much for reading; dingos are protected here. They kill to eat and they are becoming a pest when around humans, a dangerous pest. One killed two children on Stradbroke Island - they shouldn't be mixed with tourists! Love and hugs back to you! :-)Kay. XXX

Your grandpa? When you hear the thunder in the storms, Meribah the evil spirit is venting his anger from being imprisoned for his sins (in my Sweet Water Child) story. I hope that you understood the lesson. Thanks so much for reading. Love, Kay.

What a wonderful story, Aussie. I loved every minute, keeping me engaged until the end of the story. It was sad that Dania died but even in death she turned the tides to good. Well done.

regards, Jen
