Hah, well, he certainly does look happy, LOL...
I nearly bought a rhino chameleon as a pet recently, but I simply could not justify paying $269.00 dollars for a lizard. That's not including the cage, which was another $69.00+tax. Then, the food, bedding, heat lamp...
Great entry for the contest. Good form, great presentation!

He did look happy didn't he? I would never pay 269 dollars for any pet let alone a lizard. LOL Thank you for the great review.

The chameleon lives by an important rule. Be able to blend into the background. It would be a wise idea for humans to follow sometimes. It is not always be good to be the center of attention.I love watching the little creatures move. They make you pay attention. Good read.

Sometimes it is the best to 'blend in'. Your 5-7-5 speaks well to the natural instincts of the chameleon to match his surroundings. Good luck, Carolyn

This one is Well written. I like the description and the way you have put the main characteristic (color changing)of a chameleon in your poem then tied it all together, Great job

Good Evening, Val
Your nature haiku is superb! It follows the rules of haiku with the first two lines being grammatically connected and capturing a moment in time. The third line serves as a superb satori.
Well done!

That's cute. The chameleon is such an interesting little reptile. My daughter once had one as a pet. It would shoot out it's sticky tongue and catch insects. Good luck in the contest.

Excellent!
A well-crafted reptilian haiku, incorporating good alliteration;
If humans could adapt in the same manner, it would be a much different world.
