Hi,
This is a very powerful dreamtime story written perfectly.
It is a pleasure to read and grow in understanding of the power and significance of such stories.
Australian birds are so diverse and beautiful and the bower bid is a fine example.
Blessings
Shirley

What an interesting story. This really caught my attention and carried me through with no drag at all. It is interesting with a twist at the end and old folklore that has the wisdom that probably has been carried through many generations. Well done. I loved it.

You did a great job with your story of this remarkable bird,
Aussie. I enjoyed reading it. Your story had smooth flow, great
descriptions and dialogue, and a teaching point that everyone
could learn about--working together instead of fighting. The
image was perfect. Thanks, too, for the notes before and after
the text.
Respectfully, Jan

This is a great little legend and I'm glad you shared it. I find the Australian dream time stories fascinating. There is much about Australia that I enjoy hearing about. Even the slang is fun. There seems to be quite a few of you on this site.

Aussie, the beauty in your writing speaks of sharing love with one another which is something we all need. That is the only right we have, for we live on borrowed time. Why waste it hating, fighting, and being miserable? I love the story you wrote. Thank you for sharing.

Hi, fellow Aussie. We have not met, before. I came upon this by accident. an interesting read. I am always interested in the Dream Time stories. Noticed you left a "u" out of "neighbours." Maybe the American editor did that?

Hello Sankey, Thanks for reading. I wrote the chapters back in 2013 so maybe there was a spelling error. Difficult when Yanks spell thing differently to us (what a minefield) glad you enjoyed. I will be posting the rest of the chapters. Blessings, Kay.

Thank you for sharing this Dreamtime story! I think humans haven't learned that lesson to share and to live peaceably with one another. I love the "bower bird" and all the other fascinating wildlife in Australia.

Thanks for writing this Kay, the stories of the dreaming could be lost, much like the Enid Blighton stories will be, because people live in a different time and place, perceptions have changed, but really people haven't, and the needs of people to get along, beautifully written Kay, blessings Roy

This was so enjoyable Kay, it indeed reminds me of some of the Native American Indian stories shared from generation to generation through story telling, singing and dancing. I really enjoyed the concept that the tribes were to learn to share, not dislike and hate each other. Thanks so much, now I am on to the next chapter, thanks for telling me about this. I think I met you when you had posted the last chapter since I remember the picture.
