Wow! What an amazing format.
I really like the style and function of this poem.
"To illuminate the subject and re-imagine or personalise it
for the reader"
I am amazed this is so well crafted and suits the guidelines for this style perfectly.
A very clever Lantern Suite and I appreciate the thought and effort used to create this.
Sorry I don't have a six.

Hi, Treischel,
This is an excellent lantern suite following all of the difficult rules enumerated for that genre. I like this poem.

Very minimalist form. Reads like Impressionism. Thought this was a scene from a Pow Wow. Have you ever seen one? Grass dancers, hoop dancers, jingle dress- and if an eagle feather falls from a costume everything stops in silence until it is reverently retrieved.

I like this one Treischel. I might try this format as well. Colorful and not to much stringent rules to comply with for it to be to complicated to accomplish. Beautiful poem.

Had not heard of lantern form but it looks lovely on the page indeed a lantern! Your short lines in keeping with the form nevertheless paint a vibrant picture of the fiesta as does your photograph.

I find the Mexican culture incorporates many vivid colors;
I love the photograph of these dancers--lovely!
A well-crafted writing which so nicely complements the attractive performance of a fascinating culture.
I love the headdresses!

Thank you Shirley, yes. I was anazed at the colors. Also, in Native American culture, it is very unusual for women to wear headdresses.

I think you did a wonderful job with this lantern form of poetry. I like all of the descriptions for the Indian dance.
