Very nicely written.
The compassion and emotion you feel is well represented in your words.
A presentation and picture choice.

I feel for your wife because every day she lives with pain,, some days worse then others but pain all the time,, and it can be so debilitating and it can make one vert short tempered,,, and moody,,, so please give her support and be there for her in times of insufferable pain,,, you can't ease her pain,, and I know you must feel helpless at times,,, as my hubby does too, but his comfort and his caring with his love and understanding,,, helps me when I really need it,,, but I am sure you are all these things too ,,,blessings to you both,,,sue

Hi, Treischel,
This excellent senryu painting a picture of almost unbearable pain, the misery it causes, and the lover who would do almost any thing to save his love that pain.

My heart goes out to you and your wife. I'm a chronic pain sufferer (my arm) but this year I hurt my back. Spasms. Minor compared to hers I'm sure but I can on,y imagine severe back pain. So excruciating. I also know about the pharma side of chronic pain too that can come alone to some, which can be challenging.
Anyway, to your senryu. Perfect form my man. Very clever wrap up. And very sincere deep down. I'm not sure if there was a double meaning or not. Great work. I love it and I personally feel for you and you both are in my prayers.

A finely crafted biography which also parallels a romantic expression;
Pain of various kinds greatly improve with the affections from a loved one;
A caring senryu as we all benefit from a loved one's hands.
I hope your wife feels better soon, Tom.

I can't tell you how many times I've asked my beautiful wife the exact same question, Tom. She, too, suffers from chronic back pain. While I do my utmost to massage her neck, back and shoulders on a daily basis to help ease her suffering, it only helps temporarily. Even chiropractors can relieve her pain for only brief durations.
I feel for you, my friend, and your lovely wife...

when your back hurts bad 'b' alliteration
and the pain becomes too much good 'middle' line
can I kiss you well LOVE this line for its implied
sexuality AND OR empathy.
Well done...humorous too.

Dear Tom,
I liked this one - your compassions shows through your love - living with chronic pain is a challenge.
Your description above your title I think you mean "If" not 'it'.
Nicely penned senryu.
Thanks for sharing it.
