Sorry to hear that your team needs to perk up. There is time to pick up those scores. I hope the Dolphins are going good. You voiced heartache well in this poem. Good form. Nice work.

A very creative way to vocalise disappointment and annoyance.
Your quatrains rhyme well and your emotions are evident.
Iguess sport is like everything else in life theres theups and then the downs.

Thank you Shirley. Yes, that's the way it is.

A bad mood creates a well-penned poem;
Fan frustration incorporated into the love a sport, as the promise of a fine season quickly slips away;
Good alliteration you have incorporated: "sad sound";
Perhaps next week they'll pull out a win?

Thank you Margaret. If not, it going to be a long, frustrating season.

Hi, my friend,
So the first poem was not enough to sublimate you dreams of football glory. You wrote another. Your poetic gifts serve you well. You may not be able to pick a football winner but you can write a poetic winner.

'Not a sports fan myself, and yet you captured my attention with this "blue" lament. PART of the reason I don't follow football is the roller coaster ride of following your favorite team and getting your hopes up etc... (I live in Seahawks territory, so you can extrapolate the amount of angst and anger going on around me in any given season ; )

Thanks CtVR, I sure can. Although, this season should be a great one for Seattle. They could win it all. Wilson could be an MVP. You've got some great weapons. Even some of our rejected players are flourishing there.
