A wonderful read, Brooke, about this wicked little boy. I adore the examples of what he stole - the hops from frogs, and tickles from babies. This is real old fashioned nursery rhyme stuff. It's wonderful!

Mother put her foot down in the end, tucking him up in bed.

A real pleasure. That photo is brilliant too. What an expression! Sawyer truly is the most photogenic kid.

Oh, my. What a sight. I wonder what he was scowling about. Nonetheless, Grandma had a story to write. Nicely done, Brooke. I love it. Miss Sally

The picture needs a 'caption' and a winner. lol
Nicely done as usual. I love the fast pace and the fun you put into this. A real creative imagination. I liked it. I see it was well received by others. Good job.

That is definitely the FUNNIEST picture of Sawyer I have ever seen! What an expressive little face he has! Of course, it goes perfectly with the poem, which I imagine was written to fit the picture. How clever you are. It is a creative and funny poem too, so I'm sure the grandson comes by his expressiveness quite naturally. I love the unusual rhymes, such as "snatched them" and "hatched them" or "proved it" and "removed it." Upheaval and evil isn't a rhyme we see every day either. Very creative and fun-to-read work, Brooke. I'm sure some day Sawyer is going to have lots of fun reading all these poems he inspired.

Doesn't he have the best range of expressions ever? LOL Yes, the poem was inspired by the picture and by my daughter's tales of his recent "naughtiness." He has developed a love of throwing food at her. LOL I so appreciate your great comments, Adonna, and your generous sixth star :-) My greatest joy is knowing that my grandson will enjoy these poems some day :-) Brooke

I would say he is a very precocious young man. No doubt he's entering "the terrible twos" before his time. LOL. I guess it will be good to get that over with and on with life. He's obviously very smart and impressively handsome, and his parents are exposing him to such a variety of experiences. I hope I live long enough to see what he becomes. So far, I'm thinking maybe actor or talk show host. Does he like music? Maybe an orchestra conductor? You must keep us posted. ;")

He does like music :-) We shall see!

Oh, what a look on Sawyer's face! How does Miranda catch these delightful moments?
Leander sounds quite despicable, good job! His plotting seemed limitless and quite extraordinary. His mother is way too patient I think.
Fun reading, I couldn't have guessed the things he messed with.

Miranda's dad was a photographer with an uncanny eye for catching just the right moment. I think, plain and simple, he lives on in his daughter :-) Thank you so very much, Anita. Brooke

Sawyer is having a little bout of naughtiness lately, especially at meal time. He has taken to throwing his food at Mommy. LOL

It is amazing what a good night's sleep will do for a rotten attitude. I really got a kick out of this one and the photo is absolutely delightful. What a strong expression of disapproval. Wonderful that Miranda was able to capture it and you put it into a delightful story for all of us to enjoy. Great entry for this contest and i sincerely wish you all the best.

Hi Brooke,
It's always fun to read another "Leander" poem.
Such a charmingly-bad boy he is stealing all those things away. I love stanza 4!
It's so good to see that mothers still can end such "evil" by tucking bad little boys in bed.
Excellent rhyme and meter and occasional alliteration.
A delight to read. Rod

Kids will test your limits, and if you don't have any then another Leander will surface and cause chaos. I don't think children can be evil. It's just another way to get attention, etc... You tell a very cute and lovable story. Good luck with the contest. Les

I love this. He seemed a smart little boy and the picture kind of says it all. Kids will do the darest things but wow this guy did beyond what children do. I love him just the same. If he were mine I'd fluff my villain's bed and tuck little Leander in it. LOL Thanks for sharing this. JM
