The message of the poem with very attractive rhymes is moving. I also pray the same thing in my life "never to go astray!" Most of the times I was blinded by the painful experiences I been through but with God's grace, I'm quick to recognize I will be lost. God bless you!

This goes against my core beliefs and values, but technically speaking, the piece is well writ and well constructed. You make good use of your rhyming quatrains, you have good flow here, you used a nice 's' alliteration. My only concern is the piece may sound cliche to people who are used to hearing prayers or poems to or about God, but I'm not in a position to really determine that. Great work here, thanks for sharing.

I deeply appreciate your comments on the quatrains and the "s" alliteration and how these fit with the poetic construction here. Those who have commented from a similar position have not alluded to the cliche of which you fear but I will certainly consider your suggestion. The Gospel of Saint John speaks of the WORD and identifies it as Jesus. This is a very well written inspirational poem with words of Truth implanted.

She was faced with that very choice: Deny Christ and live or stay with Him and be sent to the lions. She choose the lions. But more than that, she lived each and every day with that strength. This could be from her heart. I've always thought she was a great example of how to be in life, and here I am, finding a real life example. :D
