This is an interesting poem. I never thought about a dark night delivering perspective. Usually one is so deep in the fog and gloom darkness brings, it's hard to see anything else.
Thanks for sharing this. JW

For me, it may take some time, but I always gain perspective.
Thanks so much, Jonathon. Appreciate the support.

The dark night sets the stage for a better appreciation of the sunshine when it arrives. The approaching day in the picture looks like it might be foggy.

Very good concept you have here, Bev. The night might hide many things but in the end he does deliver rest and a fresh new day to most of us. Nice Lune entry. Your few words tell a full story I enjoyed. luv jada

Thank you so much, jada. Sometimes the perspective comes after many long nights, but it always does seem to come for me. I appreciate you!

This is an interesting take on a dark night. It usually is used to tell some dark and disturbing tales. The author is telling that it is just the prelude to a new dawn that is full of fresh possibilities. That is very refreshing.

What a lovely poem, Bev. The night can make fear and sorrow seem like the only way to respond to things in our lives. But when the sun rises, a whole new outlook is given us to see we're not alone and there's strength in us to conquer our fears.
Smiles,
Karyn : )

Yeah, whenever something troubles me, I always try to sleep on it, because, like you say, the new day brings a fresh perspective. Thank you for sharing.

This is one to meditate on and see where it takes you.
Most people let the night's darkness calm and renew them (give them a new perspective) for tomorrow.
Nice alliteration: Dark night delivers

Hey, Bev. This is great. Love the dual gift of a new perspective and a fresh new day. Many wounds has been healed in the still of the night. Good luck in the contest.
