Dark Night Delivers

Good Evening, Bev
I've not yet written in Lune form, though I'm often described as
as Lune-a-tic, LOL. I admire the message you've woven in these
few lines. Indeed, a dark night is the 'laundromat' of day's stress and
always ends with a fresh start, a new day.
Well done,
Ray

Ray, how gracious of you to go into my portfolio and review for a pittance! You are a very special guy, you know. I think I'm getting some sort of message - you're the second person to review this poem today! Hmmm.....
One thing I'm pretty sure I'll never tackle is the sonnet. I couldn't imagine coming even close to your ability to write them so beautifully. And I'm so happy to see all the great reviews you're getting for it. About time you got a poem in the POM, Ray. And I'm hoping this one will be the charm for you.
Have a wonderful week, my friend.
Warmest regards, Bev

Thanks so much, Bev. I regret not being able to read much of your works, or others in the recent months. Just glad I found your poem tonight. I love reading people I admire and don't need/require high payouts, just good verse. That's payout enough, and your poem this evening was significant in the payout with its poetic flare and message. :) thank you for your very kind comments. I'd love to take a class with you again.

You're very welcome, Ray. I'm signed on for the November horror class. Not much of a chance I'll see you there I'm guessing LOL. Maybe we'll catch up sometime in one of Brooke's classes. She's a great teacher -- a feeling I know you share.

Yes, horror is what I deal with day in and day out at work, so I wouldn't take it as a class! LOL. but yes, perhaps Brooke in the spring. :)

Perhaps I'll see you then. :0)

Your little work says so much in its few words. You are so right about what a dark night can do. It is something how what it can bring in. You explored that perfectly in this 5/3/5. Love the art work. Wish I had a six left. A virtual 6. Good write and presentation.

Thanks, Miracle. Your review is very timely for me. I've been thinking of doing some poetry writing as a break from prose.
Sure appreciate it, my lovely friend. Big Hug, Bev

Hullo Writingfundimension .....
The words that you have presented in this short work with a syllable count of just 535, certainly invite further thought from your readers.
There is nothing to suggest changing and I thank you for sharing these thoughts with us.
Love from .... Nanette Mary.

A good one to finish the day on, my dear friend. How true this is. The old adage, of course - sleep on it. It took me a long time to learn that. I tend to be quick to react - the 'knee jerk' response. I've learned to take a breath, and step back - or 'sleep on it'. The morning does, indeed, bring new perspectives.
Speaking of sleep... it's been a long and busy day, so...
ZZZzzzzz LOL!
Sleep well, Bev, and sweet dreams!
Love and hugs,
Av

You've expressed perfectly what prompted me to write this poem, Av. As always, you get at what is the heart of the writing. And thank you for the very-generous six, I'm really honored. I'm writing this to you in the A.M. here in Michigan and I actually had a great dream last night LOL.
Love to you,
Bev

What an excellent entry this is for the contest, Bev. The way I like to read this is that the dark night symbolizes tribulations that might bring about a new perspective and, thus, a "fresh, new day." So much said in so few words! My best to you in the contest.
Hugs,
Connie

I am always amazed when a writer is able to get so many feelings and emotions and thoughts into so few words! That truly is an amazing talent. I appreciate you choosing my artwork to go with this thank you. DonkeyOatey

Oh Bev, what a marvelous poem - yes! Dark night does deliver perspective, in more ways than one. For me this captures the magic of an inky sky, a million sparkling stars, the romance of a full moon...(*sigh*) but it can also be said that everything looks so much different at night - changes our perspective so completely. So, it's really saying a lot for a tiny poem!

very nice work
You managed to give an incredible perspective on life using nine words -- I'd use a hundred-thousand and do less.
Thanks for sharing
