The Woman Of Discontent

A weird poem I wrote inspired by Yasue's Surreal artwork.

Interesting take on the picture. Your piece certainly had a surrealistic feel to it and fit very nicely with the pic. Good job and luck with the contest.

Ah, this IS quite a surreal poem, but I liked it - especially 'the eternal energies of the imagination'... best of luck in the contest with this lovely free verse.

A good poem keeping to the promt, of the image which appears to have a disembodied head. Well written.

A world that holds no ground

In logical rationalizations.

For it is a world created by

The eternal energies of the imagination.

Good luck in the competition. Mary

I enjoy this piece, I like the use of couplets here to express the metaphors and allusions of this psychadelic piece, as you call it. I think it holds subtleties different readers will be able to read into in different ways. Good alliteration with strange sorrow eternal energies at the end too, that was a nice touch. Good luck in the contest.

The writer delivers a message that taps into the emotions of the reader. The words compliment the photo well as I see nothing that I would add or take out of this piece. Good job.

It's an interesting take on the artwork, and full of colourful imagery. A bit like watching the Beatles Magical Mystery Tour! Anyway - I like it! Good luck with the contest -

This is so beautifully written and describes someone I know so well. The eternal energies of the imagination is indeed what creates some women's world. Superb!
